Short and sweet notepad this week, since I've been little preoccupied. But I've always got time to crunch at least a few numbers, so here's that rundown you asked for.
Commissioner Jensen will be in attendance at the Packers @ Buccaneers game this Sunday. This will be the 9th stadium visited by the commish:
Green Bay - 2003, 2007, 2013, 2018
Chicago - 2010
Minnesota - 2011
St. Louis - 2012
Cleveland - 2013
Detroit - 2017
Kansas City - 2019
Cincinnati - 2021
Tampa Bay - 2022
(Had tickets to go to Indianapolis in 2020 but my kid spiked a fever the night before, otherwise this would be 10).
Erik narrowly missed becoming the 4th owner to have three players score at least 30 points. It’s only been done 3 times before. Erik got 29 points from Josh Allen & Jaylen Waddle, and 28 points from Nick Chubb.
Last year’s playoff teams are off to a 7-1 start this year. Erik & Jacob off to an especially hot start by starting 2-0 in their divisions.
The closest game was 22 points meaning the average margin of victory is far and away the highest its ever been across the league through the first 2 weeks.
In just 2 weeks, we have already seen 5 wide receivers post at least 29 points which is the most ever in the first 2 weeks of a season.
Jacob has finally caught and passed Terrance for most career wins. Jacob has 84 and Terrance has 83. Both owners entered the league in 2012.
Aaron has two players score at least 30 points (Lamar Jackson, Stefan Diggs) for the 2nd time in his career and 19th time in league history.
Chase narrowly avoids the bad side of history. He almost had his entire team score in the single digits, which has only occurred once. Russell Wilson led his team in scoring with 10 points.
Jacob snaps a 4-game losing streak vs Jake and improves his record to 12-7 vs the snake.
Going back to 2021, Jarrett has now lost 5 consecutive games and failed to score over 100 points in them.
Teams that score 100 points or more are off to an 8-0 start in 2022.
Jacob passes Jake & Chase to move into 7th place for most points per game (91.19).
Aaron passes Chase to move into 5th place for most points per D/ST start (9.45).
Schweg has now won 70% of his games against Jarrett (14-6). There are only 8 rivalries in league history that are more lopsided.
