Only 979 points scored in Week 4, meaning we have yet to hit the 1000 point weekly threshold as a league. There have been at least three 1000 point weeks in each of the last 4 seasons. However, in 2017, there were no 1000 point weeks.
For the 2nd time in league history, we have two 4-0 teams and two 0-4 teams after Week 4. Erik & Sean are sitting on top at 4-0, while Jarrett & Terrance are in last at 0-4. This happened back in 2017 when Erik & Jake started 4-0. Erik went on to win Robbie Bowl VII and Jake missed the playoffs at 7-7. Aaron & Jarrett started 0-4 that year and would finish 9th and 10th place, respectively.
Teams sitting at 4-0 (Erik & Sean) have a 63% chance of making the playoffs.
Teams sitting at 3-1 (Schweg & Jacob) have a 78% chance of making the playoffs. (Note how much higher this percentage is compared to starting 4-0)
Teams sitting at 2-2 (Commish & Aaron) have a 36% chance of making the playoffs.
Teams sitting at 1-3 (Jake & Chase) have an 11% chance of making the playoffs.
No 0-4 team has ever made the playoffs.
We have our first 100 point loss of the season. Jarrett came up just short in a frantic comeback attempt on Monday Night Football. Teams scoring 100 points or more are now 12-1 on the year. Jarrett has now lost 7 consecutive games dating back to 2021. That streak is tied for the 2nd longest. Ryan has defeated Jarrett 6 consecutive times which is tied for the 5th longest streak. Jarrett now has 15 career 100 point losses (next closest has 12), bringing his record to 34-15 when scoring over 100 points. The 69% win pct. is by far the worst in the league.
This is the first time since 2019 that Jake the Snake has lost 3 consecutive games.
Coming in to Week 4, the closest game was Schweg’s 14-point victory over Jacob last week. We finally saw some close games with Commish defeating Jarrett by 3 points, 103-100, and Jacob defeating Terrance by 6 points, 87-81.
Our points leader is Erik with 449 points. He is on pace to score 1,571 points this season which would be good enough for 2nd most ever.
Terrance has the fewest points in the league this year with 277, and the fewest points ever scored through the first 4 weeks (how the mighty have fallen!). Terrance is currently on pace to score 969 points, which is 43 points below the current record.
Chase has had the most points scored against him and is on pace to have 1,547 points scored against, which would be the most ever.
Sean has had the fewest points scored against him and is on pace to have 955 points scored against, which would be a new record by 163 points.
The two highest scorers on the season have also had the two fewest amount of points scored against. Erik has a point differential of 143 points (35.75 per game) and Sean has a point differential of 151 points (37.75 per game).
Aaron was the lowest scorer of Week 4, so we now have 4 different bottom bitches currently contributing $5 to the 3rd place award.
Erik is the highest scorer for the 2nd straight week.
Commish becomes the 3rd owner to reach 90 wins. Schweg and Sean have tied Terrance with 83 total wins.
Terrance starts 0-4 in back to back seasons.
Sean wins his 4th straight game against Aaron to tie the series at 7-7.
Erik passes Chase to move into 8th place for career winning percentage.
Commish passes Schweg to move into 2nd place for average points per D/ST start.
With Schweg’s win over Jake, Jake is now 15-5 against Schweg which is a 75% win pct. This rivalry is no longer the most lopsided in league history. Terrance is 15-4 against Jarrett which is 78.4%, and that includes Terrance winning 7 consecutive games against Jarrett. Those two 0-4 teams will play in Week 8.
