In the great words of Kelly Clarkson, "here I am once again. I'm torn into pieces. Can't deny it, can't pretend..." that my team is nothing short of abysmal this year. Writing the Losers Letter the first time around was definitely humiliating. But having to write it twice now is a huge kick to the nuts. How could one have such a great year last year winning the championship and do a complete 180 the following year??? Well it starts off with having scored the lowest amount of points in a season probably ever to this point. Nobody likes to score points on my team it feels like. Lots of players with 5 points or less on my team each week. Last week Breida ended with -1 and McCoy ended with 0. You definitely can't win with that. And trading at this point feels like kind of a joke and pretty much worthless. With that being said, it's pretty hard to have any motivation for the rest of the season. I know my chances of making the playoffs are probably slim to none. So now I'm pretty much playing to not have to write the Losers Letter again unless im on the receiving end of some kind of miracle. Also this is dumb and whoever came up with the idea is a terrible person.

I haven't done any sort of long form writing in a long time so this feels weird. Throughout this past week I've been trying to find the right time and place to sit down and actually write this out. I've come to the conclusion that while taking a dump with fresh coffee running through my bowels, T - 2 hours until Sunday kick off is a pretty perfect time. I don't really know what to start with other than the fact that my team has been pretty messy with injuries and players not producing since the season started. I have the lowest amount of points in the league and it's easy to see. My Running back situation is pretty bad right now. But hopefully with the acquisition of Chris Carson, McCoy coming back, Matt Bredia slowly taking over the job in San Fran, and Mixon coming back soon, that will give me the consistency I need to succeed. When it comes to my WRs I like the multiple options I have. Hopkins still has yet to show what he can do, Baldwin has been injured so his best is yet to come, John Brown looks like he's building a solid connection with QB Joe Flacco, and Sammy Watkins looks like he has the potential for a solid come back year. It's gonna be hard to figure out who to start for the coming weeks. And when it comes to the Rodgers- Jimmy G connection, hopefully that actually becomes a thing. Of Course Rodgers gets injured week 1 to kick things off for me, then Baldwin, then Mixon, McCoy, etc. etc. Injuries maaaan.... With that being said, my team is a lot of hoping, and a lot of wishing right now. The pieces are there, it just hasn't connected all at once quite yet. The early weeks in fantasy are really confusing for a team owner, because the teams usually need a few weeks to establish the schemes, and who's going to be used in said schemes. It's easy to get down on players early because they may not be getting used in the games as much as you thought they were going to before the draft. In conclusion this hasn't been the best start to a fantasy season for me. In fact, after last year's historic championship, it's been a little depressing. Im going to remain optimistic for the rest of the year and maybe I'll sneak in a little trade action somewhere down the road. I don't think this is going to be 500 words but I don't really care. I've been on the toilet for 20 minutes at this point and my legs are starting to fall asleep. Good luck today gents.
