Week 1 is in the books and here I am, a loser. I'm a cotton-headed ninny-muggins. Getting blown out like that on opening day was very Buffalo Bills-esque, and for that I apologize to my league. This isn't my first week 1 dud in my career either. I scored just 63 points in the 2012 debut, which gave me the top waiver priority. I scooped up the breakout Alfred Morris and rode him to a melancholy 7-7 season. This year, I will be surprising those who stay awake with breaking news information on who I'm taking with the top waiver of Week 2. I still feel good about my RB situation as I let my rookies develop, and I feel even better about my WR depth and will likely be doing some heavy rotating throughout the season. I was hopeful that Ricky Seals-Jones would haul in a TD, and he was targeted, but Sam Bradford and the Cardinals didn't show a whole lot of life. Because of RSJ's weak showing, I will be latching on to a new TE who did everything I thought Amari Cooper would, and that is Jared Cook. This guy had some serious production and he was the first look for Derek Carr on several plays. I do realize that the linebackers of the Rams are their only weakness, but I like the way that dude played enough to start him in Week 2. There are two things that have made my weekend a little better: Number 1, I ran into a buzzsaw with Chase's team and it would've been tough to beat his 110 points and Number 2, re-reading the group chat thread from Sunday night between 8:00-9:00pm. I have already shaken off the loss and am looking ahead to week 2. We've got a long way to go before it's time to panic. The two Jakes are the only 1-0 teams in my division, meaning I could bounce right back to the top with a division win this week. Jarrett was so close to starting 1-0, but he lost 99-98 thanks to a 4th-quarter pick six by the Rams D in the final Monday night football game. Jarrett's first game of our first season in 2011 was also a 99-98 loss that came down to the final quarter of the final game. This is the 6th time in our 8 years that the opening week featured a game decided by 1-point. Uncanny! Instead, Terrance starts 1-0 to join Chase & Schweg. Oh and hey! How about Sean optimizing his lineup by starting Chris Hogan over Tyreek Hill? Sorry I'm just deflecting my own insecurities in this here loser's letter. This is my platform and I'll say what I want. Alright, well I'll let you guys go. That's about all I can think of to say at this moment, and Willy just texted me to play to Rocket League (soccer with rocket cars).
P.S. For Jarrett and Aaron: Go Packers! #AaronRodgers
